VEXTRA® is a heavy-duty, 100% fiberglass fabric-coated with non-combustible vermiculite armor. The vermiculite coating is inorganic, chemically inert, non-combustible, odorless and provides 50% more protection from direct flame than standard fiberglass. It makes an excellent heat barrier as heat travels across the fabric and not through it. AMI® VEXTRA® product is rated at 1000 deg F and remains stable to 1500 deg F.
