SiliconeO-rings have a high lubricant absorbency which minimizes friction and wear. Silicone is resistant to mineral and vegetable oils, salty solutions and various environmental conditions. Silicone performs excellently with Air, ATF-Type A, Engine Oil, Ethanol, Grease, MIL-L 6082-A, MIL-L 7808-E, SAE-30, Methanol, Oxygen (Cold), Ozone, Petroleum BasedHydraulic Oil, Phosphate Ester, Pydraul, Water (Freshor Salt), Wine. Silicone performs well with Ammonia Gas, Butane, Cellulube. Silicone performs poorly with Acetic Acid, Brake Fluid, EP Lubes, Freon 12, Fuel Oil, Gasoline (Lead and No Lead), MIL-G 10924, MIL-L 2105-B, MIL-L 5606, SAE-90, Kerosene, Ketones (MEK), Methyl Chloride, Perchlorethylene, Silicone Oil, Skydrol, Toluene, Trichlorethylene, Turpentine.
